The Washington Ultimatum is a good adventure/suspense novel. The story flows well and constructed to grab the reader and hold interest throughout the novel. Lee Gimenez has captured the essence of a terrorist threat to the United States and the FBI’s response to track down those responsible for the unthinkable. Once I started to read the story I found I couldn’t put it down until I’d read the last page.

Gimenez takes us on a breathless, relentless ride across the United States chasing a rogue CIA agent. Angel Stone is out for revenge, and she will get it because she's determined. But not as determined as J.T.Ryan, who is hired by FBI Assistant Director Erin Welch to take care of Stone's threats. The problem is Stone is elusive. She knows CIA tricks of the trade and she's always one step ahead of Ryan. Will he be able to stop her her? Gimenez again shows his deft eye for detail, his description of Paris makes you feel like you've been there. The visuals combined with this exciting novel makes it a must be read on your reading list.

This book while a bit formulaic is everything fans of this genre are looking for. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is there are some leaps of logic in here that strain even this kind of novel. Nevertheless that is a small issue. This is a very enjoyable book and I hope we see more of the JT Ryan character.

This is one novel that keeps the reader guessing. The chapters are short and crisp, and each one leaves the reader unable to put it down until s/he finds out what happens next.

It is reflective of today's headlines, and Lee Gimenez captures all the horrors of our powerful nation in the grip of attacks from terrorists who move like shadows among us.

It is a wonderful example of its genre. If a story does not capture my interest after the first five or so pages, I seldom finish reading it. I gave the Washington Ultimatum 5 Stars because it delivered what it promised.

Lee Gimenez has written a fast moving book, full of action and plot twists and turns that is hard to put down once you start reading it. In fact, after finishing this book, I immediately ordered his latest book, Killing West, and finished it over the weekend - that review follows - loved it equally as much. Lee is a writer you'll want to continue to read as more books come out.
